It is so far more efficient than the old door.

I’ve had a pet door for over 30 years that company is no longer in business. I replaced the flap several times during that period.  There are several companies who claim to be replacement parts. However they had less magnetic holders around the flap than the original and it was already an issue with cold air leaking.

I found this RANGER Pet Door and figured I could make it work. It was quite expensive compared to others. But it’s totally worth it for me. It seals wonderfully!  Seals securely all the way around! NO air leakage! Even when it’s very cold. Of course you can feel coolness if it’s below zero, but not very much and absolutely no air leaking, even if windy.  It is so far more efficient than the old door. No comparison.  I’m very impressed!

My opening is a custom hole through the wall,  with tile. So it was important that I try to find something that I could retrofit and not have to tear that all apart.

The interior metal frame is from the old door and I can use the old interior cover to close it off if needed. This new door worked very well!  I’m super pleased!
