My dog hasn’t gotten the hang of using on her own yet, but we’re working on it. I live in Alaska and it’s been the best sever-weather dog door I’ve found. With magnetic contact on 3-sides I can’t imagine this door not sealing properly. Installation was easy and the secure locking door panel is a nice feature. It was more than I wanted to spend but I’m happy with the quality. My previous dog doors didn’t close when the weather dropped below 0 because the plastic would stiffen and the magnets wouldn’t catch. This thick canvas door and the magnet placement design solves that problem.
