Happy to say it does what it’s made to do.

I’ve had this small size cat door for a few years now and we are super impressed by the quality and efficiency far surpassing those cheap ones on Chewy or at PetSmart. One of my cats is a chunker at 15lbs and he gets through very easily. We cut into the drywall and installed it permanently as a pass through from our living room to the outside screened porch. We added trim to make it blend and it looks great. We have 3 cats that use it many many times a day and it’s held up well. We are in NC so it can get hot in summer and cold in winter. Once installed, we used a laser temp gauge to check how well it did with temp regulation and are happy to say it does what it’s made to do. Also doesn’t let bugs in! I like that I can purchase the flaps separately to replace ones that need it as opposed to ripping the whole frame out of the wall. My main flap may need replacement soon as the bottom end has started to curve inside which causes the flap not to seal at the bottom if a cat goes through very slowly and prevents adequate momentum of the flap to snap closed all the way down (flap only started doing this recently). I have one cat that does this and leaves a gap where air flows in and I have to push it slightly to pop it closed. The other 2 cats don’t have this happen when they come in. I did clean the magnets of fur and “cat oils”. This is not a negative remark for the door, but is expected after many years of constant fast and slow use. I just appreciate the forethought to allow replacement pieces at a lower cost than replacing the whole thing. Very impressed and highly recommend to other pet servants so you don’t have to get up off the couch to let their Highnesses in or out!
